Pioneer Discovery Trail is a short paved trail that offers a great view of Sheridan Lake
and the surrounding Black Hills.
This wheelchair accessible trail is partly asphalt and partly soil cement surfaced. It follows part of the 1880 Rockerville Flume which was constructed to facilitate gold mining in Rockerville Gulch. The trail provides a pleasant and beautiful introduction to the history, flora, and fauna of the Black Hills.
Sheridan Lake offers other facilities that may not be accessible to people with disabilities, including: boat ramps, picnic areas, a marina and swimming beach.
Campsites: Two accessible campsites available at Sheridan Lake Rocky Loop, sites 122 and 124.
